As swiftly as he had left the royal apartments, Nathan entered his family's. It was empty, as it usually was except for at night when he and his sister Jane had retired to their individual sleeping courters. He took Kaitlin-Rose into the parlor and sat her down on a little couch by the window. The sun had come out, and no rain seemed to be threatening at the moment. The clouds were blowing gently away, revealing the sun which was now blinding and glaring through the window. He went to the window and let the curtains down, making the room much darker. Perfect. Perfect. Nathan glanced at Kaitlin, who looked lovely in this lighting. "Can I get you some water?" he asked. He figured it would be more polite to offer her water, instead of something alcoholic. So Nathan poured two glasses, again glancing back at her. His desire to carress that gorgeous neck of hers was overwhelming, to touch her back without the burden of her dress. To feel that milk-like skin. He cleared his throat and went over to her. Handing her a glass without waiting for a reply, Nathan sat down on the couch next to her, closer than what would generally be proper, but not to close to make her uncomfortable. Hopefully.

Kaitlin couldn't sustain the smile that was growing on her face. So Nathan felt the pull too. This had to mean something good. She glanced around the parlor of Nathan's family suite. It was nice. About the same to her family's apartment. She hardly went there, though. Her mother never took a break from the constant nagging about how she should be more like her 'perfect' sister. Her father was hardly ever there, always serving for the king's court then hanging out at the taverns with his friends. The sun broke through the clouds and sent rays of light across her face. Instant warmth from the sun made her feel more like herself. She closed her eyes for a moment and opened them to see her company closing them. Exactly how far was he wanting to get? Kaitiln knew her limits on the first meeting. She smiled as he offered her some water. At least he wasn't trying to intoxicate her. "Water would be nice, thank you." she said and sat down on the couch in the room.
As his back was turned Kaitlin took in the site of the man she was with. Surely he knew that he was nice looking. Any girl could see that. Any man would know that. He looked her age, but acted with a certain maturity of a man. She found that very intriguing. Something other than his beautiful structure pulled her to him. She turned her eyes downward, inspecting her own figure. She had inherited her mother's beauty. Then again, so had her sister. Though, she had something that her sister lacked. A mind. the beautiful wonderful mind of her father. Like that counted for something with men; not. Her neck was long and delicate, her skin soft and pale, her chest was generous; one most girls envied. Her waist was slim but strong for bearing sons. Her eyes were big and soft, with a hints of an ornery nature behind them. Over all she gave her self a ten.
She was pulled out of her thoughts when Nathan sat down next to her. He sat close to her, but not close enough to suggest something. Yet. She took the other glass of water and took a delicate sip. She met his eyes and smiled softly, a hint of a smirk on the corners of her mouth. "I have to admit that I have been flirting with you. It's impossible not to. Not with your looks." she said putting her glass down. "I do suppose that I am some what of a naughty girl as well. My thoughts and views are a night and day difference compared to my perfect sister." She spit out the word perfect. It was sickening to her. For her sister never broke the rules, and would certainly not be in this room alone with such a fine looking man. Again she let down her long locks of hair and let them flow over her shoulders. Since they were alone she didn't think it would hurt anyone. Nathan didn't seem to care. She moved a little closer to him and placed a soft hand upon his. It was rough from the work he had been doing his whole life, but strong and gentle at the same time. "But being perfect gets you no where. It doesn't let you have any fun." She looked into his eyes again and smiled. Her eyes were focused and slimmed like a cats. She was ready for anything this handsome man dished out.

"You are ever so welcome, my lady," he replied, smiling. How cute. She was being so polite. It was impossible not to flirt with him because of his looks? How blunt she was! He found it a tad amusing but he did not laugh. He simply looked pleased, as he was. "Wait. You're sister? Please. Yes, of course she is a lovely girl, but you, you are much lovelier. I don't like girls who curtsy at every given moment, their eyes downcast as though they are too weak to keep them open. You look at people Kaitlin. You pay attention. That's what I like." Nathan noticed she had moved closer to him. How far exactly was she expecting this to go? If he had it his way neither of them would still be clothed, but no. Not on the first day. But he could get closer. He didn't want to offend her, but he would take things slow. Nathan knew very well how to get people to trust him.
"Don't worry about your sister. Do as you wish. What would please you? What would make you happy this very moment?" His two questions he said very slowly, simultaneously taking her hand, which had been rested on top of his, and moving it over to her own lap. He did not let go of it. How small her hand was... Nathan was not trying to leap on top of her, but he wanted to be with her. That's all he knew. She wasn't complicated, like other girls. She wasn't nosy and a gossip and always worrying about being perfect and proper. She was easy to talk to and gorgeous all the same. No wonder he couldn't help but be absolutely dumbfounded by her. "Are you comfortable enough? Can I get you anything?"

Kaitlin paid attention as Nathan spoke. She watched his face as it changed emotions, his mouth when he smiled, his eyes and how the lit up when he smiled or laughed. She took in every line of his face and traced the strong features of his face with her eyes. Then he agreed with what she was saying about her sister. Even better. Obviously he liked his women more daring, which fit her description perfectly. Her sister would not be here in a room alone with a man she hardly knew. Her sister would not have let her hair down or the sleeve of her dress slip off her shoulder in the presence of a man. She would sit there, her back perfectly straight, hands folded, ankles tucked beneath her, and her eyes down cast the entire time. Kaitlin smiled at the picture. Clearly she had to play a few cards in her hand. Keeping his attention, but then making him want more of her. It was tricky, but she would do it for this man.
Kaitlin noticed that he placed her own hand back in her lap, but his hands remained on top of hers as well. Interesting, she thought. He must be one that liked to touch. Her cheeks were flushed with slight color at the thought of this. It just kept getting better and better. "What would make me happy is being with you, and feeling your lips on mine." she answered her eyes meeting his. Her eyes flamed with mystery and a bit of seductiveness. The big brown irises never left his own. Slowly she leaned forward, and ever so gently she placed her lips upon his. She had her fair share of kisses, good ones, bad ones, truly horrifying ones, but this kiss was probably the best she had ever experienced. Her hand soft hand brushed over his cheek as she ended the kiss. Sitting back she searched his face for a reaction. Any reaction. "I am quite comfortable, thank you." she said with a slight smile. Who couldn't be comfortable around Nathan? She felt like pouncing on him and showing him all of what she could do. But common sense held her back. On the first day you couldn't give too much. She had learned that in her first ever relationship. She placed a hand on her shoulder and glanced around the room. It was very private; very secure. Then she looked back towards her company waiting for some kind of response.

Nathan was entirely intrigued by her. The way she moved and flirted with her eyes, the way she smiled the way she looked away, then back at him. It made him want her even more to see her play with him like this. He liked his girls to be... more daring. He liked to be pleased. Yes. But he liked them to be girls. Small and delicate, needing affection but ready to give affection at any moment. He liked his girls to be little, younger, usually, easy to hold and to speak to, and easy to persuade. Which is exactly what he aimed to do to Kaitlin. He would persuade her. Without words.
He could hardly believe what she had just said and done. She had just kissed him. Really. Right there. It was positivley amazing. Her lips were as soft as petals on a rose. It made his entire body pulse with a sudden attraction to her, a need for her, perhaps. “Well then,” Nathan began, letting go over her hand and sliding his arm around her little waist, holding her tightly, “It is my job to take care of the female gender. I’ll be more than happy to do as you say.: And Nathan kissed her right back. Gently at first then a bit harder. After about twenty seconds, he pulled away, letting go of her, looking down. He put his hands on her shoulders and let himself feel her arms all the way down until he was holding her hands. His voice was very quiet, but firm and seductive all at the same time. With a sudden rush of annoying humor, he smirked slightly, “You’re comfortable? Are you sure? Personally, I’m about to kill myself trying to sit up straight.” Yes, yes indeed he was insinuating something. He laughed at himself, then caressed her face in his hand, looking down at those gorgeous eyes.

Kaitlin smiled when Nathan pulled her closer. She had played the card just right. His lips felt like silk, his breath warm and soft on her face. Then he kissed her again. Warmth flooded through her veins and throughout her body. She kissed back as she felt the kiss growing more powerful. Damn! This guy could kiss! It didn't seem to last long enough, though. Then his hands were on her shoulders and they traced down her arms. His hands were warm as they brushed over her light sleeves. She couldn't help but think that he was somewhat perfect. She had always been attracted to men who were slightly older. Maybe one or two years. She liked the tall, strong, sturdy, and wise. So far he fit her quota.
Kaitlin laughed as he said that it was his responsibility to take care of the female gender. It was doing a fine job at that. Then he said he was tired of sitting up straight. Time for card number two, she thought. "Well I would hate for you to kill yourself, for it would be such a waste, so I guess we should make sure you're comfortable as well as I am." With that said she pushed Nathan over so that he was resting on his back and she was basically on top of him. She smiled her eyes alight with fire and mischief. Obviously she wouldn't go all the way on the first day, and probably not even loose the clothes. That was part of her plan. It kept them coming back. "Are you comfortable now, my host?" she asked looking into his amazing eyes again.

Nathan was surprised at this girl. This little girl who acted as a woman, but not an ordinary woman. Who was easy to talk to, but who said things that ordinary woman those days did not. It attracted him like a bee to honey. Yet, he would keep his gaurd up. He would never dishonor her by engaging with her before marriage, for it would just make things complicated. It was easier to abide by the laws of this age, and wait for what you want, than to do what you want, and have your head chopped off. But who was thinking about marriage!? He was thinking about her.
Nathan smirked up at her, "You are, indeed ever so much the opposite of your sister. And I must say, that I am rather..." he paused and put his arms around her waist, pulling her down on him so that their torsos were pressed against each other, "... grateful for that." And he pecked her on her lips. How wonderful it felt to be free of watchful eyes, and to just do as he wished. His hand went to her neck, gently tracing around it and down farther and farther, but he did not go near her chest, for fear of never stopping his lustful wishes. Nathan sat up, ran a hand through his hair, then through hers, (he loved that her hair was down)and pulled her up gently to sit on his lap. "We are quite the couple, aren't we, Kaitlin?"

Kaitlin smiled as she felt him pull her body onto his. She felt the warmth of their skin through their clothes. She felt him trace down her neck and further and further. His hand was so gentle and warm on her neck. She closed her eyes and let her mind wander. It wandered to places that weren't supposed to be thought about. Her hand traveled down his chest and back up. Then he said those words. Those words were like gold to her. You're not like your sister, grateful for that. She opened her eyes and smiled. He was perfect. "That...that was the greatest thing anyone has ever said about me." she said looking into his eyes. Her whole life it had always been why aren't you more like your sister? Why can't you be just like your sister, Kaitlin? To hear that she was appreciated for simply being herself was amazing. It was a freeing feeling. She no longer felt that she had to be like her sister to be accepted. Not that she ever really wanted to be like her anyway.
Kaitlin let Nathan prop her up on his lap a little disappointed that they couldn't stay in that position longer. Then again, if they did her desires might get the best of her thinking. Things couldn't end up very well if that happened. And if anyone were to find out things would only get worse for Nathan and herself. You had to be married to do that or else things got ugly. She turned her face up towards Nathan's. Did he just say couple? "Couple? I like the sound of that actually." she smiled softly. Slowly she lifted her long neck and kissed him. Her lips lingered on his neck when she leaned back to rest into his arms again. She looked up at his handsome face and smiled. Her big brown eyes took him in at this angle. Still just as amazingly good looking as before. She was thankful for the secluded area without the watchful eyes of someone dying for gossip. Here, alone, she could be herself with Nathan. Around him, she could simply be who she wanted to be, her own person.

Nathan smiled. She got so happy over the smallest things. The things that noone would think were good. Think were compliments. Think were important! But she took notice to them. She recognized them, and she brought attention to them. It was relieving.
"Well, I'm glad." He said, his voice rather quiet. "I would not have said it if it were not true. How..." He began, not sure quite yet what he wanted to say, "How long has it been since someone has said something semi-kind to you Kaitlin? You act as though I'm the first person to listen to you and notice you in ages." Nathan sighed. He could talk a lot, and ramble on and on, so he decided to be quiet for a minute. Let her talk. He had trouble with shutting up, but he wanted to listen to her. To hear her. To give her a chance to get a word in, at least!
And then he got to looking at her, and dived into that part of himself that had only one phrase, "I want", and he leaned in to kiss her lips again. This time he barely stopped for breath. He just sat there, with Kaitlin on his lap, kissing her with a sudden passion that he had no idea was there. No, he didn't know if he loved her. No, he didn't know "she was the one". No, he was not planning on getting down on his knee and professing his love for her and a proposal of marriage. But no, he was not going to stop kissing this girl. He liked her very much, and was enjoying himself ever the more. Nathan held her tightly close to him, trapping her away from the world and those who disapproved of her, keeping her away from anyone else who would try to take her away from him. He slowly pulled away from her for a moment and said, locking his eyes with hers, "You, my dear, are a little rose. My little rose. And you are absolutley gorgeous." And he started kissing her again.

Kaitlin thought about his questions. When was the last time someone was decent to her? Well everyone was decent but never truly kind. Just because she wasn't perfect. There it was; that vile little word. Perfect. She hated that word. She would never be what the word described. She never wanted to be either. It was boring and and overrated. Taking orders was not one of her strong points. For the Queen it was easier, but from her mother or sister it was a whole other story. Nothing was ever good enough for them. When she sewed and mended it was too short, too long, not the write color, not the right design. When she was cleaning it wasn't clean enough. When she cooked it was never like Alani's. God forbid it be short of her standards. "Well, all my life I've been compared to my older sister. Even now nothing I do is ever good enough. So I guess that when I hear that I'm liked for who I am and what I do just being me is the biggest compliment I could ever receive." she explained looking up at his face. She thought about it and a scene flashed through her memory. Kaitlin stood in the kitchen making dinner for her mother and sister. She stirred a pot a soup and checked on the bread baking in the oven. Her father enters through the door in a drunken stooper. "Whatta doin stupid gurl?" he slurred. "I'm making supper father." She turned back picked up the kettle to move it to the counter. Then her father loosing his balance fell into her causing her to fall, the supper along with it. It flooded the floor with burning hot liquid. She fell onto her side in the midst of it screaming in pain. Skin was ablaze, her father a dead weight on her other side. Her mother races into the kitchen, sees the mess, and a horrified look crosses her face. She screamed hurtful words at her daughter and shoved the man she married off of her body. Kaitlin's dressed was soaked through, her skin numb from the burn of the soup. "YOU STUPID CLUMSY GIRL! WHY CAN'T YOU WATCH WHAT YOU WERE DOING?! YOU JUST RUINED OUR SUPPER! WHY COULDN'T YOU BE JUST LIKE YOUR SISTER?!" the older woman screamed pulling her youngest daughter to her feet. Kaitlin begged and cried for mercy. She was taken into a room and the door was shut. All you could hear was the thudding of something hard against something soft, and the muffled sobs from Kaitlin Rose Jackson Kaitlin snapped back from her painful memory, blinking back tears. Her lips then felt another's upon them. Nathan. How had she been so lucky? He liked her for who she really was. She kissed back tasting passion on both of their lips. She didn't know where it came from, but she certainly didn't it mind it being there. The kiss ended and he started talking about his rose. She was his rose. She really liked him saying that. "I'm yours." she said resting her head on the inner side of his arm. There was no place in the world she'd rather be than right here in his arms. "I really like you, Nathan."She looked up at his face and and brushed a hand across his smooth skin on his cheek. She wanted this moment to last forever.

"I understand. Well, no, I probably don't. But I see that you have been compared to her, and you have been hurt by this. But you shouldn't let it hurt you. You're in court now. You're a Lady to the Queen. It's rather prestigious and admirable, is it not? You aren't a servant, or just another daughter. You're important." Nathan could see that she was in her own world, thinking of something that she would not voice aloud to him. He was curious to know what was causing her even more pain, but he did not dare ask. She could tell him anything in the world if that was what she wanted, but he would not ask it of her.
I'm yours. She had said. What a wonderful phrase. He smiled a somewhat crooked smile, and held her close. I really like you Nathan. Kaitlin then said. He smiled wider. She was so adorable. "And I, you." He replied, as though it were some sort of confession. As though he had not already stated it through his actions. "But we shouldn't stay here all day..." He looked out the window. "Oh, look. It's not day anymore. I guess we might as well." He slipped off his seat and knelt beside couch, gently pushing her back to lay down. "What do you say?"

Kaitlin nodded as he spoke. He was right of course. She had made something of herself. She was lady in waiting to the Queen. Then again, so was her sister, but it didn't matter. What mattered is that she didn't let them win. She didn't give up or give into their hurtful words. Look where it had gotten her. Not to mention it brought Nathan into her life. She felt him slip of the couch and saw him kneeling by it. Gently he guided her body into a laying position. Just what was he trying to do? She smiled softly turning onto her side, her face so near to his own. "Just what are you suggesting, Nathan?" she asked playfully. A soft laugh escaped her lips as different thoughts ran through her head. There were many possibilities. Most of them scandalous to think about. She still had the power to say 'no'. Which she would probably do at a certain point. Things couldn't get too out of hand.
Kaitlin smiled at his words. He did like her. It was always good to know. She knew that he could probably have any girl he wanted in a heartbeat. That part was hard to think about. She wanted this to last. She had to keep his attention, but also make him happy. Maybe she was over thinking this already. She was too wound up about something she should just relax about. "You know that I would love to stay here with you longer. I'm not missed in my house hold and its my sisters turn to tend to her majesty tonight. I have the time if you do." she replied a little daringly. Yeah she took risks. She wasn't one to keep things in a lot. She was very forward and didn't like to play head games. Men never got subtle hints so why go through all the trouble? Just saying it made a whole lot more sense. It did to her anyway.

"You know," he began, then he kissed her lips gently, "exactly," he kissed her again, "What I'm suggesting, darling." He kissed her more fervently now, hard and letting his mouth drift open much more than before. "I have all the time in the world Kaitlin." Nathan said, breaking away fro a moment to speak, catching his breath. He rested the side of his head on her chest and looked at her, like a child being comforted by his mother, and he wrapped his arms around her lovely little waist. But with a sigh he pulled away.
"No, no." he said, pulling away from her. "I don't dare go any further with you. I wouldn't want to dishonor you. And this couch certainly isn't the place." Part of him wanted her to say 'of course! We mustn't!' But most of him wanted her to continue with him anyway. He loved girls who didn't submit to what people said. Most of him wanted her to leap on top of him. He simply couldn't contain his thoughts.

Kaitlin kissed him back each time getting deeper than the other. One of the times she slipped her tongue through her soft lips and pulled his face closer, if possible. "You're right. I do know exactly what you're suggesting." she said a seductive smile playing at her lips. She traced down his neck to his chest a button unfastened, then another. Her hand felt the soft warm skin of his chest, and the strong hard muscles that laid beneath it. She let a few more buttons come undone and looked back into his eyes, her own glowing with seductiveness.
Kaitlin drew in a breath and closed her eyes as she felt Nathan's head on her chest. She knew that things could get out of hand quickly. But she also didn't want it to end. She liked this feeling way too much. Then he started talking about dishonoring her and that they shouldn't go must further. She laughed. Slipping onto the floor, straddling his waist, hair on one side, and eyes on fire she kissed him. Slowly she pushed him over onto his back, still staying upright. A smirk tugged on her lips. "You and I both know what we want to do. But we both don't want to go too far, yet. So lets just...mess around...for a little bit. Then some other day we can see each other again..." she said trailing off kissing him. She was kind of lost in this emotion she was feeling. She wanted him so badly. She couldn't really call it love; she barely even knew him, but it was an emotion she really liked. She really liked him and wanted to be with again, and again, and again. For a long time.

Oh lovely... lovely, lovely, she was lovely. Her hands were unbuttoning his shirt, he just wanted to keep the feeling of those hands on him forever. His eyes followed her as she got down on the floor with him, as she spread her legs and said exactly what Nathan had wanted her to say so desperatley, and as she settled herself down upon him. And then he kept following her with his eyes, as she pushed him down on the floor. But she stayed up, and oh how he loved it. "Well, by all means..." he said, his voice trailing off, and then she was kissing him again. Oh, she was perfect. Perfect she. She perfect.. Perfect... Wonderful... she wonderfull... HIs thoughts were crazy and all on her, making no sense but loving it all, having a wonderful time, and never wanting to stop. His hands found her back and he started to unlace her dress. What hard work women's clothes were! But worth the trouble in the end. He unlaced until the top part was off and he threw it away, and then began working on the skirt of the dress, his hands finding their way down the edge of the waist line, slipping it away as he tried not to disturb her work. She was quite the good kisser. He pulled her closer so that their torsos were pressed close together. He suddenly settled himself comfortably on the floor, letting go of her, catching his breath. She could continue working all she wanted, but he was exhausted. No, he wouldn't stop. He just needed to catch his breath. But she had free reign. He belonged to her right now.
