Queen Catherine quickly accompanied her husband up to the royal apartments, her room to the right, which joined to the parlor, and through a little hallway to King Andrew's private rooms. She smiled to Andrew quietly, having look up to him, then glanced away and continued down the hall. She entered the parlor between their rooms and led them to the door to Andrew's bedroom, she put her hand on the doorknob quietly, and opened the door. Andrew would not mind. Hopefully. She went in first, it being the proper thing to do, then stood a little to the right of the doorway, not going in much farther, waiting for him to come in, waiting for him to tell her what to do. There was still a part of her that was very unsure about how he would react to things. What he wanted. She was still young, still learning what to do, still learning about her husband.
"You said there was something you had to tell me," she prompted gently, "But you may wait. I don't want to keep you awake if you are truly tired from the party." She said no more. Waiting his reply.
(lol, quite literally)

He shut the door behind them, he did it with haste, but it didn't slam. It was now, he had to tell her while he still believed they were alone. He took her hand and lead her to the large bed, "Sit down, please" he said, while he wondered how he should tell her. He was scared that she would think he was starting to get crazy in his old head.
He sat down himself, still holding her small feminine hand. "Catherine... Lately I've been acting strange," he said. He paused for a little. Why did he say that? She had noticed he had been acting strange, anyone around him probably had. He laid a hand on his forehead and let it straight out, "There's a spy inside my walls! I don't know what he want, but I want whoever it is dead!" He looked into her eyes, the fear showed in his eyes and the anger on his face expression. "Luquin is on it, I expect a report from him soon." He held her hand tighter.

Andrew was making her very nervous, but Catherine did not utter a word. She let him take her hand, and she let him lead her over to the bed. What in the world was so important that he had to bring her in here, close the door as though there was war, and sit her down like she might faint over if she didn't? "Yes, I have noticed," she replied when he said he had been acting strange lately. She gave him an encouraging smile. She hated that he was so frightened. Catherine jumped when he burst into his monologue about his fears. She brought her hand to her heart and from his own hand. "Andrew. Please calm down." She put her hand in his again. "I know that you're you're frightened, but what else can you do? Luquin is the best. He'll find whoever it is. And there are guards everywhere. Guarding you, guarding me. Guarding every door and entryway. You must not let this affect you so." She knew very well that it affected her. She was terribly scared to hear there may be someone after her. Or him! Especially him. She had nothing without him. He was her life. Catherine stood and walked across the room to a table in the corner where a candle was lit and a mirror hung on the wall. She looked into it, took off her hat and let her hair down. She had to think for a moment. Shutting her eyes very tight, then opening them suddenly to keep herself focused and awake. She walked back over to him and put her hands on the sides of his face. "You will drive yourself insane worrying like this. I wish there was something I could do. Isn't there? Isn't there anything I could help with to make you stop worrying so?"

She tried to calm him down. He knew he made her worry aswel. He had to calm down, and he started out by taking deeper breaths. When she asked him if there was anything she could do to make him stop worrying, his heart stopped to beat as fast as it had did just before she asked. He stared into her beautiful eyes and said, "let me hold you." He laid his arms around her and gently held her into his body. He wanted to feel that she was near him, and he wanted to believe he could protect her from whatever or whoever was looking for him.
The only thing that would really make him calm down, would be when Luquin could report who was spying on them.
His heartbeats were back to normal speed. He felt comfortable holding her. She made him feel safe, and he hoped he was capable of returning it, and making her feel safe too. ooc: I know it sucks, but it's there. I've been so amazingly busy lately that I almost forgot about this site. I'm sorry. I'll see if I can write down that Luquin vs. Spy plot-thingy soon!

She smiled kindly, "Of course," she said softly, feeling small in his arms. She was very scared. It seemed as though Andrew was scared because of uncertainty. But whoever, or whatever was going on was completely unknown. His fears may be true, but then again, maybe they were not. But Catherine, even though she was Queen. Even though she so easily hid her feelings and could read anyone as easily as the back of her hand, she was frightened. The unknown scared everyone. And Catherine was still very young. She was a woman, and had been able to be married for over five or six years, but there was still a lot she did not know or understand. She could not take care of herself. She could not keep herself safe. Catherine tried not to let it show on her face. She tried to feel comfortable in his arms as she always did, but how could she? She was not sure, now, if she would have wanted him to tell her. If only she could go back in time and change that want. But then again, now she was prepared. For what? Why was she frightened over nothing? Because Andrew was scared. And if he was scared, she was scared. He was her husband. He was in charge of keeping her and taking care of her. And now her mind was full of worry. She couldn't hide it. But she was afraid to speak to him. Afraid to make him feel bad for frightening her. Afraid that he would be angry at her, angry at himself, or just the situation itself. There was no way to win. So Catherine kept silent.
