Kaitlin-Rose followed her new husband to his apartment. His family graciously let them stay there for their wedding night, for the own apartment was not completed. Once they were inside she closed the door and made sure it was locked tight. Then she turned to her husband and smiled. Slowly she walked over to him. She reached out and touched his arm. Then she drew her body closer to him, so that they were touching. She smiled and tilted her face up towards his and softly kissed him on the lips. She broke it shortly and began to walk towards his bedroom. She reached up and took the pins out of her hair and let it cascade down her shoulders. Then she ever-so-subtly let the sleeve of her dress fall off her shoulder.
She smiled to herself, remembering how she had done the same thing the first day they had met. Now, such a short time later, they were married. Able to spend the rest of their lives together without worrying of being found out. She turned back to her husband smiling seductively. "It's just you and me now, husband. Finally after so much preparation we can just be together. Forever.". She softly walked back over to wear he was standing and circled her arms around his waist. This would be the first night starting the rest of their lives, and she planned to make it unforgettable.

Nathan was terribly excited, but somewhat frightened all at the same time. Kaitlin seemed not to have a worry in the world, not a care, not a problem. Nothing at all. But Nathan was scared. He did not know how to have a wife. How to make her happy. What to say, how to act. This was final. This was complete. Nathan was married now. His uneasiness, however was swept away when he looked at her, and when she put her arms around his waist. He smiled at her gently, kindly, as a father would do to a very small child. He just wanted to take care of her! That's all he needed right now to live. All he needed to survive. He put his hands on her shoulders and pushed her gently away at arms length, and he looked over her from the bottom of her dress to the top of her hair. How beautiful she was.
He put his arms around her and picked her up, with a laugh, and held her like an infant, and carried her to the bed. It was only natural. He glanced at the sleeve of her dress that had gone farther down her shoulder, and he pulled it all the way down along with the opposite one. Past her torso and past her legs, and then he had it off. How beautiful she still was, but all he could look at was her face. He was nervous. Very nervous. He stood straight and pulled his shirt over his head and crawled into bed with her. It was nice to be married. "So, wife. What shall we do now?" He grinned his usual grin, the boyish one that had always brought a frown of disapproval to his mother and father. The one that said, 'Let's worry about it tomorrow, and just have some fun for now.'

Kaitlin laughed and put her arms around Nathan's neck as he carried her to the bedroom. Soon she felt the soft mattress beneath her. Then her husbands strong hands gently pulled down her dress. She smirked seductively sweeping her hair to one side. She watched as he pulled off his own shirt. Her eyes were merciless as they drank in the sight of him. His blonde hair was slightly messed up from his shirt, and his muscular torso was completely bare. His arms rippled as he moved into the bed next to her.
He asked her what they should do now. She just smiled and pulled him close to her, softly pressing her lips to his own. Then she deepened the kiss making it more urgent. Love and excitement were coursing through her veins. She had not a worry on her mind. All she needed was Nathan and he was laying right next to her. As her husband. Gently she broke away. He had that boyish grin on his face that sent her heart racing. She brushed back some hair covering his face. "I have a few ideas, husband." she cooed seductively. This was her wedding night and she was not about to waste it.
Kaitlin stealthily slipped down his trousers and tossed them to the floor by the rest of their clothes. She then ran her hands down Nathan's body. Her eyes burned with excitement and passion. Her lips were ready to be kissed. She was ready to give herself totally to him. She couldn't think of anything else she wanted to do more.

Was this Kaitlin? The less cared for daughter of the Jackson family. The smaller, less "fortunate" one who was always said to be less appealing than her sister? Nathan did not think so. She was beautiful. She was perfect in every way. In the quickest moment she was kissing him, and he was most definitely kissing her back. He closed his eyes as his breathing quickened, and his smiled as she finished undressing him. How wonderful tonight would be. "I love you," he whispered into her ear. And now it was his turn. It was her night as well as his, and he wanted it to be perfect for her as well as himself. Nathan pulled her body toward his and he straddled her, he bent his head down and kissed her tenderly on her lips. He was so happy to be married. He put his hands on her hair, noticing each detail, how soft it was. He put his head against her chest and heard her heart beating. Was it as fast as his? Nathan moved his hands down her back, feeling her. Touching her. He turned to the candle beside the bed, and quickly blew it out.

Kaitlin laid in bed as early morning light started shining in from the window. Beside her, her husband, Nathan, lay sound asleep. She smiled softly as memories from the night before came flooding back. Her wedding night. The ceremony and feast were nice, but the time she had alone with Nathan was the highlight of the whole night. The passion, the love, the complete wholeness that they shared the night before was inexplainable. She closed her eyes and images were replayed. The whole night was repeated. Her heart raced. How could someone feel something like this after such a short time?
She rolled over, ever so gently, and rested her head upon her husband's shoulder. She never thought this possible. Never had she dreamed of having such a man fall in love with her, and certainly never in her life expected to be married before her sister. Her sister who was perfect in every way imaginable. She was polite, beautiful, and a perfect lady. Kaitlin on the other hand was not. She herself had a tendency of rebelling and doing what she wanted. Then she met Nathan and got that butterfly feeling whenever she was near him. She snuck around to see him, and had even spent the night with him...before wedlock. It was truly scandalous. But now they were married and life could begin.
Thats when a thought hit and it hit hard. Now that they were married people were expecting children. Strong sons to take on the family name and job. She would have to be a mother. The thought was scary. She didn't know the first thing about raising a family. Oh well, there was time for that. Right now she was content with just being with her husband. She leaned over and kissed him gently and snuggled up to his side. She could spend forever just like that.

Nathan woke up to see Kaitlin beside him. He smiled. She was awake, surprisingly. "Good morning, love." He kissed her lovely forehead that was resting against his shoulder, then looked out the window. "The light's just coming through, isn't it? It's almost as pretty as you look right now." He got out of bed and pulled on his trousers, then went to the window and drew the curtain back farther, letting what little light there was shine into the room. It was somewhat blinding for a moment. He turned around, "I suppose we should get up shouldn't we? But the sun has not yet risen even an eighth of the way! Look at me... talking myself out of something I'm fully in the right to do." Nathan climbed back into bed with her. "The whole castle will be drunk as a Lord all day, there's no use worrying about waking in time to get anything done. To think they were the ones up all night dancing and singing, and yet we are still tired. I know I am, at the very least." He yawned and sank down under the covers, wishing he hadn't opened the curtains. He wanted to lay in bed all day long. Then a sudden thought erupted like fire in his mind. He would have to be married now. Married in the sense that he would have to responsible. Be a father. A father? Not yet! Not now! But yes, very soon, hopefully, he would have to be a father. He wasn't exactly ecstatic about that idea, but it was the way of their world. Kaitlin would have children, and he would be the father, he would pass down the work that any court family had to do. And that was keeping the Royalty very happy. Doing what they said, entertaining them, and playing the courtly game of constant happiness and frivolity. "So, I suppose we need to have children now, correct?" He sighed to himself, not in the mood to even talk about it, but needing to. "It wouldn't be so horrible." Under the covers he took off his trousers again. He didn't want to go to sleep, so he just shut up, pulled Kaitlin closer and put his hand between her legs, kissing her nose gently as he did so. In his soul, he was still an unmarried, ungentlemanly guy.

Kaitlin felt movement under her and saw Nathan's eyes open. She smiled as he kissed her forehead. It was a wonderful feeling waking up next to a man like that every morning from now on. She could definitely get used to that. He got up and pulled on his trousers. She didn't like that. She wanted him to stay next to her completely unclothed. He opened the curtains and light streamed over the room. It spilled onto the bed illuminating where she lay. The sun kissed her golden brown hair, and lit up her fair skin.
Her brown eyes sparkled with a new light as she gazed lovingly at her new husband. He was perfect in every way. Looks where obvious, but he completed her on a more mature scale as well. He didn't expect her to be perfect like society. He liked her playfulness and fire that she had to conceal during the day. She thought back again to the first day they had met. How he seemed to be fine with her slouching and letting her hair down right in front of him. How he didn't turn her in, and agreed with her about sneaking around. A smile played at her lips remembering all the secret meetings they had had together.
Kaitlin-Rose came back from her thoughts only to see Nathan taking off his trousers again and laying back besides her. Yes, this is exactly what she wanted to happen. She didn't want to bother getting up today. She just wanted to stay right here. Then he said one word that made her start thinking again. Children. Of course they would have to have children. It was part of marriage. "Yes, people will expect us to have children. It's only apart of marriage." she stopped before her voice fell too flat. Of course she loved kids, but having to raise her own was a whole new thing. It was a foreign experience for her.
She sighed and looked down at the sheets covering her bare body. She had always wanted a family, but now that it was going to happen so soon, she wasn't really sure what to do. She was still so young! And Nathan, what did Nathan think? She didn't really know. It was still so early and she was still so tired. A hand slipping between her legs pulled her out of her thoughts. All the feelings from last night came back in a tidal wave. Her ornery spirit shined in her eyes. "I do know one thing for sure, husband. We will enjoy the process of making our family." she said, her voice low and seductive. She began to kiss him again, her hands running down his body. This was one part of marriage she could definitely get used to.

"Yes, well, I don't want to talk about the children anymore, darling..." He said forcefully burying his head into her shoulder and kissing down her shoulder to her breast and to her stomach. He stopped there. Teasing her. How he loved her, so. "Alright, alright." He got out of bed. "I need to get up and get dressed." He ran a hand through his hair and put on his trousers, and his shirt and his coat and shoes. He took Kaitlin's corset off the floor, "Come on, I'll help you. I don't want to call a maid." The last thing he wanted was to see anyone else right now. But it was morning, and he had to get up and go about his business. It would be far less than reputable if the two of them stayed in bed all day. It would be most looked down upon. And his father would want to speak to him, undoubtedly. Typical family affairs.

Kaitlin's eyes closed lightly as she felt Nathan's touch on her. Her whole body tingled where ever his fingers touched. Then his hands left her and her eyes opened. He had gotten up again. She frowned slightly. She hated that they couldn't stay together longer. She really didn't feel like working today at all, but society calls. She watched him as he donned his clothes and couldn't help but frown a little more. He was such a tease sometimes! Then he held out her own corset. She hated that dreadful thing. But it was only proper for a lady to wear one. It gave you the perfect shape of body.
Slowly she arose from the bed and slipped the corset around her waist. Then she held onto the bed post waiting for Nathan to fasten it. She could picture the cinched fabric around her waist and closed her eyes in disdain. It was so dreadfully uncomfortable! Sometimes she would nearly faint because her maid would cinch it so tight. On those days it was especially hard to work. She tended to stumble into stationary objects and need to rest frequently. It was on those days that she just wanted to run away, but whatever didn't kill her made her stronger...right? "Work...it will be dreadful today. My sister is probably plotting out my death as we speak." she said flatly. It was probably true. The eldest was not happy that her sister had been married before her. The looks she got last night when no one else was looking were truly frightening.

Nathan laced up her corset for her, being gentle with his hands and letting them touch the skin that he hated to cover up. He didn't lace it too tight, but he had to do it correctly, and that meant causing a tad bit of pain to his beloved. She was probably used to it though. He silently thanked God his was a man. "Poor thing," he said when he finished, tying it in a neat little bow at the bottom. Quite literally. He let his hand linger there for a moment and gave her a little pat of reassurance. He hated this terribly, having to get up.
"Oh please," Nathan said with a roll of his eyes. "I do not mean to offend you at all, but I doubt your sister could think long enough to come up with a plan, let alone carry it out. She looks as though she couldn't lift a needle and bring it successfully to a piece of cloth. And besides," He grinned and handed her her petticoats, "I shall protect you. Even from your family, if I can help it."

Kaitlin loved the though of his hands against her skin. She felt so safe when she was around him. It was something she had never felt before. She was always so on her own before, that she always had to somehow protect herself. It was difficult she being only a lady. She listened to Nathan as he spoke about her sister. He was calling her dumb. That was a first. She, herself, had always been the slower on in the family. Her sister was the perfect child. "My sister is the perfect one. That means she has poise, manners, beauty, and a mind that she loves to keep silent. But she is, in fact, smart. She's too worried about society to really voice anything. Unlike me, which is why my parents don't like presenting me to anyone. I have too much of a voice." she finished turning to face her husband.
He held out her petticoat to her and she slipped it on and fastened it. She continued getting dressed in her numerous layers of clothing. Her sister was very much capable of thinking such things, but following them through was a little more shady. She didn't know her sister very well for obvious reasons, so her drive and determination weren't known. The icy stares kept popping up in her mind. She was pretty sure that she was the only person to see them at the celebration last night. But if she wasn't, no one else mentioned them at all. She was almost positive that Nathan had not seen them. If he had, he would have understood her reasoning at little better.

"Oh, I did not mean to insult her. She just seems to be the lady-like smart. The one who knows how society goes. But I suppose you know her much better than I do." He went to the trunk at the end of the bed and took out his coat. Pulling it on and fastening it up, he said with a sudden shiver, "Lord, it's terrifyingly cold today." With that he pulled a cape out and put it over his shoulders as well. "Shall I walk with you to the Queen's chambers or would you like to have breakfast here? Yes, I think I'll call for someone," Nathan said, making up her mind without giving her time to speak, being a typical man, "Then I'll take you to her and go with the King." He called for a servant and sent him to go bring them some bread, fruit, and wine. Nathan continued getting ready, fastening his belt together and putting his knife in it's case, clearing the books off of the table to give them a place to eat. Finally, he spoke again, "Darling, I do need to talk to you, concerning what we began to talk about this morning. I know it's an unsavory topic, but I do think we should discuss it. As you know my family currently resides here, on the King's orders. But we do.... here, I'm sorry, do sit down." He pulled out a chair for her then continued. "We do own several other properties and homes. There is one only an hour or so away from the castle, and I have been granted it. When we are not on our duties, or during times when we are granted leave by the King, we may live there. It will be our country home and we can send the... children there until they are grown and are called to work and live at court. Of course, that will mean that it will be twelve or thirteen years after he," he thought quietly to himself, or she, "will come here. Therefore I believe it is in our best interest to accept this offer, and take the home. There are servants and nurses that will take care of them when we are not there. I am also sure that Queen Catherine will let you stay with the baby after you give birth. At least for a few months. And I will try to be there too, if I can." He took a breath. He was letting out what he had needed to tell her since his father had arranged their marriage.
