This site, Behind Castle Walls, takes place in the year of 1456. The castle in which the site takes place is the main, royal castle where the King and Queen reside year round.
A variety of people call this castle home. Of course, there is the royal family, but also the servants, ladies in waiting to the queen, knights, and maids live here. Along with of course, prisoners. The prisoners are kept in the dungeons, or the King finds something else to do with them. Depending on the crime, they can be killed, tortured, set free again after a certain amount of time, or kept as slaves.
The main person in charge is the King. The members of the Kings court, such people as his secretary and other advisers may affect his decisions, but the King has the final say.
