Kaitlin kissed him back. Her hands again started undoing the buttons on his shirt. One by one they came undone. More and more of his skin was revealed. His warm soft skin. She ran her hands across his bare chest and felt how strong he was. How strong he could be. She kissed his throat down to his collar bone and slowly worked his shirt off his broad strong shoulders. She felt his strong arms pull her onto him so their stomachs were touching. Her bare skin against his. Her racing heart pressed against his. Her breath was lightly faster due to her heart rate. She felt Nathan relax under her. He looked so comfortable. Her lips traced up his neck and met his once again. While she kissed him her hands found his trousers.
Kaitlin thought back to the last time she had gone this far with a guy. It had been a few months ago. A knight had come in from a distant kingdom to celebrate and they decided to have their own party elsewhere in the castle. It had been a nice night. She hadn't gone all the way, but she didn't exactly hold very much back. With Nathan it could be different. They could keep seeing each other. That thought made her extremely happy. She pulled her lips away from his and looked into his eyes. "You are quite amazing, Nathan. I'm very glad you are mine right now." she said with a slight smile. She kissed his cheek and ran her hands down his chest. The world could be ending outside of the room, but she wouldn't even care. As long as she was here with Nathan, nothing else really mattered.

The next morning came far to quickly for Nathan's taste. He wanted it to last forever. It was fun. It was entertaining. Kaitlin was someone he wanted to be around. And he didn't want the sun to rise. But unfortunatley the morning came, the sun setting as always, and a lovely sense of quiet everywhere. The door was locked, so the two of them were still alone, and Nathan lay on couch now, Kaitlin asleep in his arms. He awoke first and slowly realized what the night had brought. It had brought him Kaitlin. And she was still here. Looking small and adorable, but he knew that her personality did not match her looks. But that made him happier than he had ever been with a girl. She looked so comfortable, so asleep. Like a child after a long day. It was nice to hold her here, tight and safe. He would protect her like a knight protected his country for now. That was the only feeling he had.
Nathan gently whispered into her ear, "Kaitlin. Kaitlin, it's morning. We must get up now. People will wonder where you are. Noone can find us like this." If they did, it would not be good. He Imagined her family walking in on them like this! How on earth would he ever explain if they knew? No, we were clothed... I swear!... Yes, it was definatley time they got out of here.

Kaitlin felt the light in the room. She felt the warmth the sun gave off through the window. She felt Nathan's body against her own. His strong arms wrapped around her thin body. She smelt his wonderful scent that clung to him. She had memorized it that night. Last night. Memories came flooding back from last night. The touches, the kisses, the hint of passion on their lips. She remembered his strong hands on her body and the moments they had shared. She felt sheltered and protected when she was around him. That he would do anything to protect her. That she could trust him. That was the first time she had that feeling in practically her whole life. Trust. It was a new word, a big word. But she felt like Nathan was one person she could trust. With her life.
Kaitlin's eyes fluttered open as she heard Nathan's soft voice in her ear. He spoke the honest truth. They couldn't be discovered together like this. If they were, it would dishonor both of their strong family names. She turned so she could see his handsome face and smiled. Gently she kissed his velvet lips. "Good morning. You are very correct. I need to get up and start attending my duties to the queen." she said burying her face into his chest. She sighed and she rested her head to his strong warm chest. She felt the pounding of his heart on her cheek. She wanted to stay with him. She didn't want to leave. She didn't want to feel so vulnerable again. She didn't want to have to take commands like she did everyday. All she wanted was to be with him. For now. "No matter how much I do not wish to leave your side." she said, completing her previous statement.

"I hate to get up..." he grumbled. Nathan wasn't a morning person. But, nevertheless he forced himself to sit up and get up, taking care to not fling... what should he call her? Hm.... he didn't know himself what she should be called, but we'll just call her his girl... ahem, anyway... taking care not to fling his girl off the couch and being as gentle as possible. He got dressed quietly, making himself not look at her. If he looked at her he would snatch her and carry her to his room. And he could not do that.
So reluctantly he dressed, trying not to pay to much attention to her, except for a few hopeful glances in her direction, making him think about their lovely night that they had spent together. "Hopefully..." he began, not wanting to sound like a fool, "We can do this again sometime. If you would like to." He was hopeful for that. He enjoyed her company, and she had seemed to enjoy his. Would she want to do it again? Not even this sort of thing! Just spend some time... It was strange. He had never actually wanted to spend time with someone, well, spend time with a woman fully clothed. But now it didn't matter. As long as she was there.

Kaitlin sat up as Nathan did. She stretched her sore limbs and yawned. She was always more of a late sleeper. Her muscles ached from being in one position the whole night. But that position was so wonderful! Cradled there in Nathan's arms as they slept. Falling asleep to the rhythm of his heart beat, and the warmth of his body as her blanket. She watched as he changed. She couldn't help herself. He was so handsome! So much fun to look at. After he was dressed she stood and walked over to him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head on his chest. She needed to be with him again. Needed. He then suggested that they get together again. He must've read her mind. "I would very much like to be with you again, soon. I can not describe how much joy this gave me. Being with you." she said brushing his cheek gently.
Kaitlin then combed through her hair with her fingers and pulled it up into a neat bun on the nape of her neck. She straightened her skirts and her bodice and made sure she was presentable to her majesty. Looking like she had just spent the night in a boy's arms was not acceptable. Even to look like that in front of your family would be disgracing yourself. She knew what a risk she was taking by sneaking around with Nathan. The consequences where right there. But she cared very little. She loved the feeling she got when she was around him. She loved his presence and the feeling that he listened to her. She looked up at him and kissed him softly on the lips. She was going to see him again. No matter what.

Nathan finished getting dressed, and saw out of the corner of his eye that she was getting up and waking too. She looked so adorable, yawning and stretching. He wanted to grab her and hug her forever. But she came to him, and laid her head on his chest. He put his arms around her and then she spoke. He replied, "Well, if it gives you joy, then I am not in any right to deny you that joy." And Nathan smiled and kissed her forehead. Then he cleared his throat and pulled away, took her arm in the crook of his own arm and said, "We need to go now. People will wonder where you are. Now we must not speak to each other to much, and try not to look my way too frequently. Although I know it will be hard." He grinned at that, jokingly, then went back to his plain, serious expression. "We'll see each other again, very soon. Just come and find me and give me a time and place. I'll come. But don't let a soul know about what we have been doing." He sadly had to escort her out of the room and into the outside world.
