As Nathan sat down, feeling slightly under the weather, to have have his midday meal alone, he could not help but feel slightly left behind. His new wife was taking her lunch with the Queen Catherine, most of the men had gone with the King on a hunt, and things inside this dreary castle were just that. Dreary. The weather outside was horrible for hunting, goodness only knew why in the world King Andrew had wanted a hunt. Maybe just for a challenge. But Nathan had not been asked to accompany him. So he was here alone. Gratefully, and ungratefully, at that. He could not decide. He only wished for something to do. A job. The day must be really horrible for him to want to work. Ah, how things had changed...

Ambrose came in, deciding it was time to break his fast. He didn't care that the watcher had called noon just a few minutes ago, he was going to have scrambled eggs and tea. Ambrose approached the server that had given Nathan his meal, saying, "Good sir, if you please, an egg I require, along with a biscuit and tea."
Satisfied that this rhymed to his liking, he smiled in smug approval of himself. Ambrose sat down next to Nathan, thoroughly pleased with himself.

Nathan glanced to his right. There now sat a man, who seemed to be in such a different mood than the one he was sporting himself. He seemed altogether pleasant and pleased with himself. Nathan was not happy about that. Ah, well at least this was company. Even if the company wanted to... rhyme. He could deal with that. "Good day, sir." He said politely, not sure what to say to the man, who was going to eat an egg. What an interesting meal. Not fulfilling enough for himself.

Ambrose was startled out of his thoughts by Sir Nathan, who merely said, "Good day, sir/" Ambrose rather thought this was a waste of breath and good words, as it didn't rhyme. Then again, if everyone went around rhyming and whatnot, he would soon be out of a job.
"Is it a good day, Sir Nathan, or do you merely play?" Ambrose loved mixing rhyme with reason and riddles, but he wasn't quite sure if Nathan was mocking him or not. Ambrose knew what half the court said, and the other half thought about him. They said he was mad, all for having visions of the future.
